Danish Language Education (DU)

6 modules at 3 levels

Danish Language Education – the official ministerial Danish language training programmes 1, 2 and 3, each consisting of 6 modules.

All new foreign citizens residing in Denmark are entitled to the education. The final exam is required in order to apply for residence permit and admission to a number of educations.

Since most of your Danish education is paid by your municipality, we are obliged to submit application for approval before you can start.

Who can participate?

UCplus provides Danish Language Education (DU) at all education and module levels. Therefore, we can teach both beginners and more advanced Danish speakers.

See overview of DU1, DU2 and DU3 here.

Voucher and duration

Once you commence your education, you will receive an electronic voucher with one entry per module. Each entry represents a limited number of months for completing the module. The number of months increases according to the module level. You must complete the entire Danish education within 42 months in total. MORE INFORMATION HERE.

In order to start your Danish Language Education, you must pay a deposit of DKK 1,250. The deposit will pass on from one module to the next during the entire course and will be fully refunded to you, once to complete or stop your education.

In addition, there is a user fee of DKK 2,000 per module, and your municipality covers the remaining costs.

This payment covers all the lessons and materials in a module as well as the corresponding module test.
